Bryant’s Art program is designed to offer a foundation in the elements and principles of Art through two and three dimensional art media. There is an emphasis on studio production, developing higher level thinking, drawing skills, and self-expression. There are three semester-long art classes available: Art One, Art Two and Multicultural Art.
Although projects may vary, Art One students learn how to draw and shade the basic shapes, draw in one-point perspective, and paint with watercolor. Art Two students use chalk pastel, colored pencil, and the potter’s wheel. Multicultural Art students study graffiti art, make paper mache masks and study art from around the world.
All students can be successful in Bryant Art classes because student effort and skill building is emphasized over inherent artistic talent.
