About Me

After spending the first nine years of my career as a 7th grade social studies teacher in Boulder, Colorado, I am thrilled to join Bryant as your school counselor. My move to Salt Lake comes on the heels of a great adventure with my family in Norway, and before that a two-year stint in North Carolina as a school counselor at a diverse early college high school in Raleigh. Traveling and being around students has helped me learn about and appreciate the many different people, places, and cultures that make the world so special. I also appreciate a good book, ski slope, recipe, or knitting pattern!
As a graduate of Colorado State University (Go Rams!), I hold a Bachelor’s degree and teaching license, as well as a Master’s degree that I pursued a few years later in school counseling. The thing I love most about being a school counselor is the relationships I get to make with students and families.
